This fortnight's technique is called Black Magic Resist and is made by combining the beautiful colours of the Ranger Distress Stains, black acrylic paint and clear embossing powder. The resist part comes in when you use a mini craft iron to remove the embossing powder, thereby revealing the distress stains under the black paint. Gorgeous background technique and the colours really pop against the black.

Gorgeous again Kelsey! I have one of those little irons..had it for years, but have never used it cos it has the USA plug. What do you recommend I get so can use the blessed thing!

Hi Barb. If you have a US iron you'll need a transformer from somewhere like Dick Smith's. From memory they are around $50 but you may be able to pick one up from someone who doesn't use it any more with their craft stuff. I bought one because I bought a US Clover Iron and still use it with that. The small irons that I also use are Birch brand and think they are around $20 each so probably cheaper to just get a new one of those if you can't find a transformer. xxx
