FREESTYLE WATERCOLOUR AND STAMPING

This is our first class back and as is usual, we'll be beginning another book.  Book number 17 in fact!
We'll be doing what I call Freestyle Water colouring with some stamping thrown in.  I bought myself a set of the Kuretake Gansi Tambi water colour paints before Christmas and have been having a play with them.   I also bought some Schmincke Tro-Col Bronze Powder in both Gold and Silver.  This is a powder that you can mix with water to create a shimmery metallic paint BUT if you drop it in it's powder form onto wet watercolour, oh my!!!  Gorgeous effects!  It does need to be sprayed to set with something like a sealer otherwise it does come off on your fingers but most of us have fixatives or sealers.  A quick spray sets it.    You can get a little idea of what this is like in the first atc sample below "Believer"... all that gorgeous told shimmer up the top is the Schmincke powder.

"Believer"...
(the gold down the bottom is torn pieces of double-sided
tape covered with gold foil - very shimmery!)

"Eat what?"...

"Limited Edition"...
(this one has a little of the silver
Schmincke powder up the top.  The two
colours I used for this one are from the Ranger
Distress Stains, Tumbled Glass and Gathered Twigs
just to show that you can use any of the water-reactive
products to create a watercolour effect.)

"Unpleasant Dreams"...
(the gold shimmer in this one is from the Wink of Stella
Range of pens, this one is gold.  I also used a little clear
embossing ink to create the circle moon and brushed on
gold Perfect Pearl.)

"Up to no good"...
